Tomato Powder

Tomato powder is a natural ingredient obtained by drying and grinding ripe tomatoes. Just as adding tomato paste or fresh tomatoes during home cooking deepens and rounds out the flavor of a dish, tomato powder provides the same effect in our product.

Our purpose is not simply to add tomato flavor. Tomato powder helps transform the strong flavor profile of our legume-based product into one that is more balanced, more appetizing, and more reminiscent of a home-cooked meal. In particular, it softens the intense, earthy notes of legumes, creating a more familiar and enjoyable flavor perception.

From a technological perspective, tomato powder serves as both a flavor carrier and a color-enhancing ingredient within the seasoning blend. It helps give the product a warmer, more natural, and more appetizing color. This, in turn, reinforces the consumer's perception of a freshly prepared meal.

Tomatoes naturally contain various carotenoid compounds, particularly lycopene. Lycopene is the natural antioxidant responsible for the characteristic red color of tomatoes. Therefore, tomato powder contributes not only flavor but also a natural diversity of plant-derived compounds.

Thanks to its lycopene content and naturally occurring organic acids, tomato powder contributes to both color and flavor perception. The drying process removes water, concentrating the aroma compounds and allowing for a more stable application in food products.

We use tomato powder not as a coloring agent, but as the dried, concentrated, and convenient form of tomatoes that have been used in cooking for generations.
