Onion Powder

Onion powder is made by carefully drying fresh onions and grinding them into a fine powder. Although it is processed into this format, its source is simple and familiar: onion. Drying removes most of the water while preserving the characteristic flavor compounds, resulting in a concentrated taste.
We use onion powder primarily to enhance the flavor of our legume-based snacks. Legumes have their own distinctive taste, and this ingredient helps create a more balanced and savory flavor profile without overpowering the natural ingredients. Because the flavor is evenly distributed throughout the seasoning, it provides a consistent taste in every bite.
In addition to its flavor contribution, the powder blends easily with dry seasoning mixes and adheres well to the surface of extruded snacks. This helps achieve a more uniform coating and a more enjoyable sensory experience.
In short, we use onion powder to provide a rich, balanced, and savory taste while complementing the natural flavors of the legumes and spices.
